The health and safety of our passengers and staff is always our main priority and we’re taking a number of steps to ensure your continued well-being whilst visiting us. Kaluwan is closely following all advice received from Australian medical authorities, as well as the World Health Organisation (WHO), regarding precautions that are needed to minimise risks concerned with COVID-19.
Guests booked on our extended tours will be required to be fully vaccinated (two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccination with booster dose if required) for travel from 1 January 2022.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination must be provide to Kaluwan prior to your tour, preferably as soon as guest(s) have proof, and at the latest 30 days prior to tour departure when final payment is due.
Any Federal and/or State government mandates/changes requiring vaccination before the date mentioned above will supersede the above date.
Guests and employees with a contraindication to any available COVID vaccine may receive an exemption provided they can provide a valid medical certificate and record a negative PCR test no more than 72 hours prior to the time of departure. Non-vaccinated exempted guests may also be subject to additional specific requirements.
Guests who are unable to meet vaccination requirements are requested to contact Kaluwan or their travel agent for assistance with their booking.
Guests who are unable to receive both vaccines for travel from 1 January 2022, will unfortunately not be able to travel with us at this time. In this circumstance, please notify Kaluwan a minimum of 90 days prior to your departure.
Guests who are unable to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a verified medical certificate prior to commencing their tour will not be permitted to join – and will not be refunded or recover any disruption costs. Guests with any symptoms of illness prior to travel will be requested not to travel.
The customer shall comply with all Government (Federal and State) requirements for entry into Western Australia or to access the operator’s premises, event or service. Where the customer does not so comply, and cancels or is unable to access Kaluwan’s service, the customer shall forfeit any and all monies paid.
Due to different factors, uncertain times, and government restrictions and circumstances out of our control:
If a tour is cancelled or is unable to proceed due to any COVID-19 (or any other pandemic) restrictions (imposed by Government or any other authorising body) or such restrictions are either not removed as expected, extended, or re-imposed, we will use our best endeavours to consider the options, and may offer to guests:
– a transfer to an alternative departure date, subject to availability;
– a credit for the original value paid by you for the tour which credit will be transferable to another person and valid for 18 months.
Please note:
* Additional costs may apply for future departures due to fare schedule/costs increases;
* Credit is not redeemable for cash
If you contract COVID-19 (or any other pandemic virus or disease) within 31 days of the date of departure of the tour, you must notify Kaluwan in writing. In such circumstances, you will not be able to and will not be granted permission to undertake the tour. In such circumstances you (and any other person cancelling as part of the booking) will be offered a transfer to an alternative departure date, subject to availability, at the absolute discretion of Kaluwan.
If you refuse a transfer to an alternative departure date, it will be deemed that you have cancelled your tour and the Cancellation Policy of Kaluwan will apply.
To ensure that our guests and our tour guides remain safe during the pandemic, guests must adhere to all social distancing requirements and hygiene standards as required by Kaluwan and Government policies. Guests may be required to undertake a temperature test via a non-contact thermometer and/or a COVID-19 test prior to commencing the tour or during the tour. If a positive result occurs or if a guest refuse to take this test, Kaluwan has the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse to take the guest on the tour, or to bar the guest(s) from continuing the tour, which ever the case may be.
All out of pocket expenses (transfers, transport or alternate accommodation) as a consequence of leaving the tour will be at the guest’s own expense. Guest(s) shall not be entitled to any refund on monies paid by guest(s) to Kaluwan under these circumstances.
